Terms and Conditions

 

TLDR:

  • Cancellation Policy: Free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival. Within 14 days, the full stay is non-refundable.

  • Check-in / Check-out: Check-in is from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Self check-in is available after 7:00 PM; no staff are on site at this time. Check-out is by 11:00 AM. 

  • Minimum Stay: We have a minimum stay requirement of two (2) nights. 

  • Quiet Hours & Shared Spaces: Common areas are available daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Guests are asked to keep noise to a minimum, particularly during early morning and evening hours, given the intimate nature of the property. 

  • Parking: We do not offer parking. 

  • Children: We welcome guests 13 years of age and older.

  • Pets: Pets are not permitted. 

 

 

Hazelton Heritage - Terms of Service

These terms and conditions, as may be amended from time to time (the “Terms”), apply to all our services directly or indirectly and made available online, through any mobile device, by email, by telephone, or otherwise. By accessing, browsing, or using our website or services, or by completing a reservation, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms, including our privacy policy. 

BOOKINGS

All bookings at Hazelton Heritage are subject to these Terms.

Hazelton Heritage reserves the right to require full payment in advance or a deposit at the time of booking in certain circumstances. No booking shall be considered confirmed until all required details and/or payment have been received.

RATES & CHARGES

Hazelton Heritage has a minimum stay requirement of two (2) nights.

All rates are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and reflect the subtotal of the selected stay, excluding applicable taxes and additional charges. Once a rate is selected, the total cost of the stay (including taxes and any applicable charges) will be displayed in the reservation summary prior to confirmation.

The Municipal Accommodations Tax (MAT) and Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) are applied at the prevailing rates at the time of booking.

PAYMENT

We accept the following methods of payment: credit/debit cards: American Express, MasterCard, Visa.

The total amount of the booking (including room rate, MAT, HST, and any applicable charges) will be charged to your credit/debit card at the time of booking. 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Bookings may be cancelled free of charge up to 14 days prior to arrival. Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable, and the total booking amount will be charged. 

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT 

In the interests of security and to prevent fraud, guests may be required at check-in to confirm their identity by providing their booking reference; their passport/identity card/drivers license and a valid credit or debit card. The information above may be requested for each member of your party over the age of 16 and we reserve the right to refuse entry to persons who cannot provide the information set out above.

Unless otherwise stated on the booking confirmation, guests may check-in at any time from 3:00 PM on the scheduled day of arrival. After 7:00 PM, only self check-in is available and no staff will be on site. All rooms that have been secured by credit/debit card or prepaid at the time of booking will be held until 11:59 PM on the scheduled day of arrival unless otherwise agreed directly with Hazelton Heritage.

On the day of departure, we kindly ask all guests to vacate their rooms by 11:00 AM. Late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability and additional charges. Rooms are subject to maximum occupancy rules set by Hazelton Heritage. If you would like further details, please contact Hazleton Heritage.

CHANGES OR CANCELLATION BY HAZELTON HERITAGE 

In rare circumstances, Hazelton Heritage may need to cancel your booking. In such cases, you will be given a full refund, but we shall have no further liability to you arising out of such cancellation.

If your booking is for a specific room and in the same room for the duration of your stay, we will use our reasonable efforts to honour your room selection. However, we may need to allocate an alternative room to you for operational or safety reasons. If we need to move you to a different room during your booking for which a lower rate is available than the rate you booked at, we will refund you the difference in the rates.

DAMAGE

Guests are responsible for any damage caused during their stay. Hazelton Heritage reserves the right and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or Hazelton Heritage during your stay (including without limitation specialist cleaning) or for any items that are missing when you leave.

PARKING

Hazelton Heritage does not offer parking.

COMMON AREAS & QUIET HOURS

Common areas are available for guest use during designated hours only. Guests are kindly asked to observe these designated hours and to comply with Hazelton Heritage procedures and/or requests with regard to use of all common areas. We also kindly request that Guests keep noise to a minimum, particularly between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM, given the intimate nature of our property. 

GUEST BEHAVIOUR

Guests are expected to conduct themselves respectfully at all times and to comply with Hazelton Heritage procedures and/or requests with regard to conduct and respect for the property of Hazelton Heritage, its employees and guests and their health and safety. Guests are requested not to disrupt the comfort and enjoyment of other guests, the operation of Hazelton Heritage, or cause offense to other guests or our members of staff. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or services or remove you and members of your party from Hazelton Heritage if, in our reasonable opinion, we consider this provision to have been breached. Where this is the case Hazelton Heritage shall have no obligation to refund you for lost accommodation, other services or any other loss or expense incurred.

NO SMOKING

Guests are not permitted to smoke, including vaping or any other substance, in rooms or anywhere on the premises. 

CHILDREN

We welcome guests 13 years of age and older. All children (a person under 18 years of age) must be accompanied by an adult and must be supervised by an adult at all times.

PETS

Pets are not permitted at Hazelton Heritage. 

NO DISCRIMINATION

Hazelton Heritage is a 2SLGBTQI+ inclusive property and we have a strict zero-tolerance policy for discrimination or harassment of any kind. Guests are expected to adhere to this policy and Hazelton Heritage may, without incurring any liability to the Guest, immediately remove from the property any person(s) offending against this policy. Should any actions by a Guest be deemed inappropriate by Hazelton Heritage, or if any inappropriate behavior is brought to the attention of Hazelton Heritage we reserve the right, after any allegations have been investigated, to take action against the Guest.

FORCE MAJEURE

Hazelton Heritage accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Hazelton Heritage is not responsible for the loss or damage of any personal property left at Hazelton Heritage.

Hazelton Heritage will not be liable for any indirect, consequential or pure economic loss or any loss of profit, goodwill or opportunity (whether caused by the negligence of Hazelton Heritage, its employees, contractors or agents or otherwise). Hazelton Heritage’s total liability shall not exceed the value of the charges received by it under the Agreement.

Nothing contained in these Terms or in any other document referred to or incorporated in it shall be read or construed as excluding any liability for death or personal injury caused by Hazelton Heritage’s negligence or liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising in connection with them are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction to determine any dispute arising in connection with these Terms, including disputes relating to any non-contractual obligations.

Each party irrevocably waives any objection which it may now or later have to proceedings being brought in the Ontario courts (on the grounds that the Ontario courts are not a convenient forum or otherwise).

WEBSITE INFORMATION

While all reasonable efforts have been taken to ensure the accuracy of information on the website, Hazelton Heritage does not accept responsibility for errors or omissions and reserves the right to amend, cancel or vary any of the arrangements featured on the websites without notice. Please note that in certain circumstances, generic photographic images have been used to represent the general style of a particular product or Hazelton Heritage.

The content of the website is the copyright of Hazelton Heritage, and may not be copied, reproduced, published, distributed or amended for any other purpose without our prior written consent.

Trademarks used on the websites are the property of the respective owners. Hyperlinks to third party websites are provided for your convenience. We cannot accept responsibility for the content or use of third-party sites.

PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.hazeltonheritage.com (the “Site”).

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Order Information.

HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

Communicate with you;

Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and

When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. For example, we use Wix to power our booking site. As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

DATA RETENTION

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

CHANGES

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
